Life SILIFFE - Presentation of the Project

(Treviso, 02 March 2016) - On February 23rd the Life SILIFFE Project was presented at the Auditorium Province of Treviso. The project, launched in September 2015, aims at directing the Park's management towards an environmental improvement of the riverbanks and towards an increase in the biodiversity both of he riverbanks and of the river itself, also through the reintroduction of some autochthonous fish species and the reduction in the number of alien species.
The project will create a system of correct governance of the Park's areas, in order to enhance the present ecosystems for a long time and give the citizens a better environment back. It is a large-scale environmental initiative, which has been awarded by the European Commission (ENV) a funding equal to 60%.
